Frequently asked questions
What happens to the height?
It's calculated from your width so the image keeps its shape.
Can I enlarge an image by width?
Yes, though enlarged images can look soft. Use the Image Upscaler for better enlargements.
What width should blog images be?
Match your content column — often 700–1200 px — or 2× that for sharp display on high-DPI screens.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Files are decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser using the canvas API and Web Workers. Nothing is sent to any server, and there is no account or storage. Closing the tab discards everything.
