Frequently asked questions

What size is a passport photo?

It varies: 35×45 mm in India, the UK and EU; 2×2 inches (51×51 mm) in the USA. Pick your country's preset.

Can I print it at home?

Yes. Print at 100% scale (no “fit to page”) so the physical size stays correct.

Does it change my background?

No. If your country needs a plain background, take the photo against a light wall.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Files are decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser using the canvas API and Web Workers. Nothing is sent to any server, and there is no account or storage. Closing the tab discards everything.
