Frequently asked questions
Can I blur only part of a photo?
This tool blurs the whole image. In the editor, you can duplicate a layer, blur it, and combine it with other layers.
Is blur a safe way to hide text or faces?
A light blur can sometimes be partly reversed. To reliably hide information, use a strong blur or cover the area with a solid shape.
Does blurring change the image size?
No. Only the pixels change; dimensions stay the same.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Files are decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser using the canvas API and Web Workers. Nothing is sent to any server, and there is no account or storage. Closing the tab discards everything.
