Flip an Image

Front cameras often save selfies mirrored, so text appears backwards. Flipping horizontally fixes that, and vertical flips are handy for reflections and upside-down scans.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my selfie mirrored?

Many phones save front-camera photos as you saw them in the preview, which is a mirror image. Flip horizontally to fix it.

Is flipping the same as rotating 180°?

No. Rotating 180° turns the picture upside down; flipping mirrors it.

Can I flip many images at once?

Yes, the same flip applies to every image you add.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Files are decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser using the canvas API and Web Workers. Nothing is sent to any server, and there is no account or storage. Closing the tab discards everything.
