Frequently asked questions
Will the background be transparent?
Yes, when you save as PNG or WebP. JPG cannot store transparency, so the corners are filled with the color you choose.
Which part of my photo is kept?
The center. The largest possible square is cropped from the middle, then rounded.
Can I make rounded corners instead of a circle?
Yes — use the round corners tool for adjustable rounded rectangles.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Files are decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser using the canvas API and Web Workers. Nothing is sent to any server, and there is no account or storage. Closing the tab discards everything.
