Profile Picture Resizer

Profile pictures are shown as small squares or circles, so a wide photo gets cropped unpredictably. Resizing it to a square yourself means you know exactly what people will see.

Frequently asked questions

What size should a profile picture be?

400×400 works almost everywhere. Larger (512–640 px) looks sharper on high-DPI screens.

Can I make a round profile picture?

Yes — use Circle Crop for a round PNG with a transparent background.

My face isn't centered — what can I do?

Crop around your face first in the Image Cropper, then resize here.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Files are decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser using the canvas API and Web Workers. Nothing is sent to any server, and there is no account or storage. Closing the tab discards everything.
