Frequently asked questions
Can sharpening fix a really blurry photo?
It can improve mild softness. Heavily blurred or out-of-focus photos can't be recovered, and over-sharpening creates halos and noise.
What amount should I use?
Start around 40–50. If edges show bright halos or the image looks gritty, reduce it.
Will it change the image dimensions?
No. Only pixel values change.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Files are decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser using the canvas API and Web Workers. Nothing is sent to any server, and there is no account or storage. Closing the tab discards everything.
