Progressive JPG Maker
A progressive JPEG shows a low-detail version of the whole picture first, then sharpens as more data arrives — so visitors on slow connections see something immediately instead of a slowly painting strip.

Frequently asked questions
Do all browsers support progressive JPEG?
Yes, every browser and image viewer can open them.
Is a progressive JPEG bigger?
Usually it's slightly smaller, especially for images over about 10 KB.
Does it work with a target size?
Target-size mode uses the standard encoder. Leave the target at 0 to get a progressive file.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Files are decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser using the canvas API and Web Workers. Nothing is sent to any server, and there is no account or storage. Closing the tab discards everything.
