PNG Optimizer
Most apps save PNGs with quick, light compression. An optimizer tries many compression strategies and keeps the smallest, giving you a file that is smaller but decodes to exactly the same pixels.

About this tool
This tool runs oxipng — the same optimizer developers use in build pipelines — right in your browser. Need more savings? Switch to palette mode for TinyPNG-style results.
How it works
- 1
Add PNG files.
- 2
Keep lossless mode (or choose palette for more savings).
- 3
Download the optimized PNGs.

Input: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), BMP, SVG, AVIF, plus TIFF/HEIC where your browser can decode them. Output: PNG, JPG or WebP.
Frequently asked questions
How much smaller will my PNG get?
Losslessly, typically 5–30%. With palette mode, often 60–80%.
Is it slower than normal compression?
A little — the optimizer tries several strategies — but it runs in background workers.
Does it work on transparent PNGs?
Yes, transparency is preserved.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Files are decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser using the canvas API and Web Workers. Nothing is sent to any server, and there is no account or storage. Closing the tab discards everything.
