How it works

  1. 1

Paste the Base64 text or data URI.

  2. 2

Check the preview, type and dimensions.

  3. 3

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the data:image/png;base64, prefix?

No. Paste either the full data URI or just the Base64 characters.

Why does it say the data isn't an image?

The decoded bytes must start like a real image file. Truncated strings or other kinds of data (like PDFs) can't be shown here.

Is the text sent anywhere?

No. Decoding happens in your browser.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Files are decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser using the canvas API and Web Workers. Nothing is sent to any server, and there is no account or storage. Closing the tab discards everything.
