Frequently asked questions
Why does my image show no metadata?
Screenshots, edited exports and images from social networks are often stripped already.
Can I edit the metadata?
Yes, use the EXIF editor for JPEG photos.
Can I see where a photo was taken?
If GPS tags are present, the coordinates are listed under Location.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Files are decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser using the canvas API and Web Workers. Nothing is sent to any server, and there is no account or storage. Closing the tab discards everything.
