Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The content is encoded in the image itself and doesn't depend on any service.
What's error correction?
Extra data that lets damaged or partly covered codes still scan. H recovers the most but makes a denser code.
Why won't my code scan?
Make sure there's strong contrast (dark on light) and keep the quiet zone around it.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Files are decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser using the canvas API and Web Workers. Nothing is sent to any server, and there is no account or storage. Closing the tab discards everything.
