Edit EXIF Metadata
Sometimes metadata is wrong or missing: the date is off because the camera clock was never set, or you want your name and copyright in every photo you publish.

About this tool
Edit the common EXIF fields here and save a new JPG. The image data is copied byte for byte, so there's no re-compression and no quality loss.
How it works
- 1
Add a JPG photo (or try the sample).
- 2
Edit author, copyright, description, camera, date or GPS.
- 3
Save the JPG with the new metadata.
Features
- No re-compressionOnly the metadata block changes; pixels are copied exactly.
- Add your copyrightEmbed your name and rights notice for publishing.
- Fix dates and placesCorrect the date taken or set, change or remove GPS.
- Private by designEverything runs on your device. No uploads, no account, no watermark, and EXIF/GPS data is stripped from the result.
Supported formats
Input: JPG/JPEG. Output: JPG with updated EXIF (image data unchanged).
Frequently asked questions
Which formats can I edit?
JPG/JPEG. Convert PNG or WebP to JPG first if you need EXIF.
Are other camera tags kept?
Only the fields shown are written; technical tags like exposure and lens are removed. View them first with the metadata viewer if you need them.
Can I remove GPS only?
Yes — switch off GPS location and save.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Files are decoded, processed and re-encoded by your browser using the canvas API and Web Workers. Nothing is sent to any server, and there is no account or storage. Closing the tab discards everything.
